Countryside with my Beanie

A day at the Countryside, Maroondah Reservoir Park

A well-spent day with my favourite people. It's been a long time since we spent our weekends together as a family of 5. Daddy decided to drive us all the way to the countryside (out of Melbourne) to visit the Maroondah Reservoir Dam & Park. We had to conquer the park first before we arrived at the dam. We had a fun time at the park: feeding the birds with corn chips, smacking flower bulbs just to see water splashing out of them and randomly singing aloud and talking just about anything.

Upon reaching the dam, we took many photos of the concrete bridge we were on, sisters and I did many (failed) jumpshots due to the slow reactions of our parents :3 We had a crash course Geography lesson by my Daddy about the functions of the dams as well. They are such fascinating creations by human beings.

While driving out of the park, we passed by a sign which said "Blueberry Farm" and as a berry fanatic, I was actually thankful that Daddy decided to drive us there to take a look because it wasn't part of our itinerary. The roads were very confusing and he drove around the area 3 times before we could get there. We passed by a random shed of coloured naked mannequins on the way. Much to our disappointment, there wasn't any blueberry plantations except for a barrow of blueberry plants for sale and a blueberry cafe. However, to make up for our 'loss', the scenery there was superb which you can never find it in Melbourne or Singapore.

After this trip, I have (sort of) concluded my retirement area to be at the countryside in 40 years time. It is probably the best way to keep in touch with beautiful nature. Gosh, Mother Nature has never been this beautiful.

Till next time.

Here are some pictures I snapped during our mini fieldtrip. I conclude this post with a photo of my favourite couple in this world.

Cheers. :)
