It's nice and cool today and I was just in time for breakfast at 10 after a drive sesh with my driving instructor, the weather was just a cool 17 degrees. & to me, this weather is perfect for a couple of homemade scones and raisin toasts, accompanied by a cup of hot tea and a good read.
Sometimes I take my breakfast too seriously (when I'm not in a rush) so I like to display them as if they are at a fashion parade. Haha. However, there's a problem: what happens if you don't have a neutral coloured table/background that allows your food to stand out, like mine? Solution: laying a piece of large cloth can help to reduce any starkness/reflection that your table is causing. I like to use a piece of white cloth (with some patterns) to shoot my food. The table in my house has a piece of glass on top of it and causes massive reflection whenever you try to take a photo. So there, problem solved. :-)
The lighting of today's morning is not particularly bright but at least it creates soft and cosy tones despite the darkness. It feels as though I've edited some vignetting around the borders of the photos, but I didn't! :-) Sometimes, a little change is good.
Mornings like today make everything feel brand new again. There is actually hope in this world after all.
Have a great day ahead friends! No matter which country or continent you're from.
PS: Gonna start having a "Hello Weekends" segment starting from this week. It'll consist of my breakfast indulgence if y'all don't mind. Haha. (Even if you did, I'm still doing it nyahaha)

I love raisin toasts. Therefore I toasted 2 slices this morning with some butter. Yum. |

Homemade scones by my sister. They taste so good with all types of jam. Today I tried apricot. Nomzers. |

My favourite type of tea. It's a detoxifying tea. It contains orange pekoe, green tea & hibiscus extracts. A lemony kind of taste. |
