ANZAC Day

(Yes, those are my feet)

 25 April -- ANZAC Day
[Australian and New Zealand Army Corps]
The anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War.The soldiers were known as the ANZACs.
There are ANZAC biscuits as well. They are thought to have been carefully created by a team of women on the home-front for their love ones fighting in the Great Battle.
The sweet biscuit is derived from the love and compassion from these women.
On ANZAC Day, there are red poppies as well, a symbol of sacrifice.
I don't know much about ANZAC Day, however, the least I can do is bake a few batches of ANZAC biscuits and share it with my neighbours as a symbol of love. Eaten together with a few other goodies. Remembering the ANZACs.
